Nate turned 6 yesterday. I can't believe it! He is growing up too fast! There was a big crowd at their house yesterday to celebrate this sweet boy's special day. He had a Monsters Inc. party. So fun!
God has called me into disability ministry. I have come on staff at Camp Daniel, a Christian camp for people with disabilities. We also have The Able Church which is for people with disabilities. Through The Able Church, people with disabilities have the opportunity to grow and learn, and to use their gifts and abilities to change our lives, for they are leaders. This ministry has become my life. I can't imagine doing anything else. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with these amazing and unique individuals. I have joined a small force of God's warriors who are willing to speak up for the disabled community. These warriors are willing to sacrifice their lives until others can see people with disabilities the way God sees them. They will fight until people with disabilities are an accepted and needed part of the body of Christ. I am honored to work alongside them. I have found Jesus among people with disabilities and it has transformed every area of my life. I am excited for what God is doing. It is so fun to watch people slowly catch onto the vision, because once they get it, their lives will never be the same.
