God's Provision

I want to make one thing clear. I am not in this for the money. Ha. That is a good one, right? It has been quite a journey over this past year of living as a full-time missionary. I am learning to trust God for my daily needs. It is a lesson, I believe, that I will be learning for the rest of my life. Over this past year, I have been living on $300/month. I am thankful for how God provided because I got by on that bit of money. Since the summer, things have been really tight. Not even that much money has come in. This month, $87 came in. That wasn't even enough to pay my bills. I immediately started worrying about it. Silly me.

A few days later, someone offered to buy my groceries and two people handed me gas cards. That is why I love living in community. I love my Camp Daniel family. We step in to help and love each other when we need it. Isn't that what this Christian life is all about? Things haven't gotten any easier over this past year. In fact, they have gotten harder. I guess we're on the right track. It's amazing how God is so much closer in those difficult times. No matter how hard things might get, I will never give up this life. I may have nothing by worldly standards, and yet, I have everything. Thank you Lord.
